VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered  the launch of the New Education Policy (NEP) for the state, which  will result in the promotion of 22,000 teachers and better education for students.

On Thursday, the Chief Minister attended a review meeting on the status of work in the education department, stating that all reforms in accordance with the new education policy (NEP) should be accomplished by the next academic year. In each mandal, two schools must be upgraded to junior colleges. One junior college would be co-educational, while the other would be entirely for girls.

He instructed officials to guarantee the teacher_student ratio is maintained in schools and underlined that there should be teachers for each topic. According to him, more than 22,000 instructors will be promoted as a result of the NEP's expansion.

Teachers should be upgraded from SGT to school assistants, and steps should be taken to improve their skills. The CM stated that officials must complete promotions and transfers, as well as implement the changes, by June.

All of SERT's suggestions, according to Jagan Mohan Reddy, should be executed. He offered his approval for the Mandal Resource Center to be renamed Mandal Education Officer's Office, and for the MEO to be given direct drawing powers. He agreed with SERT's request that educational activities be transferred to MEO, and he granted his approval for the recruitment of MEP positions.
