Vijayawada:  In a move to draw businesses and investors for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2023, Andhra Pradesh is holding investors drive in Chennai on Friday. The event in Chennai comes after a successful event on February 14 in Bangalore, which was preceded by an equally significant curtain-raiser event on January 31 in New Delhi.

Officials said, the investor drive has been thoughtfully planned to provide companies and investors a preview of what to expect at the summit. On March 3–4, the meeting would be held in Visakhapatnam. The summit's theme, "Advantage Andhra Pradesh - Where Abundance Meets Prosperity," emphasised the state's robust industrial foundation, high concentration of MSMEs and start-ups, and welcoming environment for investors.

The purpose of the summit is to draw attention to the "southern state's substantial industrial base, well-established presence of MSMEs and start-ups, and overall investor-friendly environment."

"Andhra Pradesh is widely recognised as a significant player in the Indian economy with a sizable manufacturing base, remarkable infrastructure, business-friendly regulations, and skilled and talented young people," says the  government,

The GIS Vizag would provide in-depth analysis of crucial industries including IT, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, cars, tourism, and energy. According to organisers, the conference would give companies a chance to network and the state a chance to interact with important investors, industry experts, and officials. Attendees would also have the ability to learn about the wide range of investment opportunities that exist across the state.
Andhra Pradesh is well-known for its sizable manufacturing base, first-rate infrastructure, business-friendly atmosphere, and pool of gifted and skilled young people, according to the officials. At the Chennai meeting, all benefits, services, and programmes will be discussed, and we will allay any participants' questions during the interactive portion.

As this study is based on feedback from stakeholders, AP has regularly placed #1 in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) rankings for the past three years, which is noteworthy.

"Based on data thus far made public, AP is projected to experience the greatest double-digit GSDP growth rate in the nation in 2021–22, at 11.43 percent. As the entry point to Southeast Asia, it also boasts marine infrastructure, including 6 airports, 6 active ports, and 4 planned ports along its 974 km of coastline, the second longest in the nation. It has a supportive business climate, policies that are industry-focused, and a proactive administration that runs the state.

Three of the country's eleven industrial corridors are being created in Andhra Pradesh alone, according to officials. The state has won several awards, including the Enertia Award for Energy 2022, the ET Award for Port Led, and the Infrastructure Project 2022, to name a few.
