Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy said, 'My government is against the National Civil Register (NRC) but as you know, going beyond the performance of public, we need the states to say 'No' to stop the NRC." Along with this, he said, "What the Congress Chief Ministers said, I should instead of trying to give information, please issue the official statement of the Congress President, in which it is announced that there will be no NRC in the Congress-ruled states."
