Recruitment drive in this state, 1.26 lakh people to get employment

Amravati: The YSR Congress government, which came to power in Andhra Pradesh with an overwhelming majority three months ago, is continuously taking any major steps. In the same sequence, the government yesterday, on Monday, appointed 1.26 lakh employees in a big recruitment drive. The appointments are for the village and ward secretariat. The Andhra Pradesh government claims that the single campaign has the largest recruitment by number. The government aims to open 11,158 village secretariats and 3,786 ward secretariats (urban areas) in the state.

CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, 'It will be written with golden letters in the history of the country. Never before in the country has such a large number of people been given permanent jobs. Staff were recruited in a record time of two months. Around 21 lakh candidates applied for various posts in these secretariats. Out of these, 19.50 lakh appeared in the written examination from 1 to 8 September".

A total of 1,98,164 candidates passed the examination, out of which 1,26,728 got jobs. The CM on Monday distributed appointment letters to the selected candidates at a function in Vijayawada. The CM said that the village and ward secretariat would start functioning fully in the entire state from the first week of December. Each secretariat will have 10 to 12 employees. 500 services will be provided from these secretariats.
