Visakhapatnam: Jagan Mohan Reddy government of Andhra Pradesh has reduced liquor shops in the state by 33 percent. During the lockdown, the Jagan Mohan government had increased the prices of liquor by up to 75 percent. In the order issued on Saturday, there are now 4380 to 2,934 private liquor shops in the state. In this regard, about 33 percent liquor shops have been reduced.

It is noteworthy that before the election, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised an alcohol-free state. Such a decision has been taken by the government, while furthering the policy of prohibition. Earlier, 43,000 belt shops were closed by the government. The time of sale of alcohol was also reduced.
