In a tragic incident at Akkayyapalem Dari Lalitanagar Gyanniketan School in Visakhapatnam, a student died in a clash between students. The incident happened on Thursday around 4 pm. In-charge DCP Adinarayana and Eastern ACP Harshit Chandra briefed the journalists. A clash broke out between the students of class VII in the school at around 4 pm and Jaswant collapsed on the spot in the clash.

Fellow students informed the school management and the teachers reached the spot and took Jaswant to the hospital. However, doctors confirmed that he was already dead. On getting information about the matter, the police reached the spot and based on the CCTV footage installed nearby, the police have taken three students into custody and the body has been sent to KGH for postmortem. The principal questioned the students and the local people.

Meanwhile, the student's parents complained to the police that their son had died as a result of a scuffle between the students. Four Town SI Srinivasa Rao has registered a case and investigated. The couple, Ramalakshmi and Ramu, who live in Kailasapuram, have two children. The elder son Jaswant (13) had enrolled in the Gyanniketan school last year. It is learned that Jaswant told his parents that for some days his fellow students were harassing him.
