Visakhapatnam: The lockdown has been lifted from almost every village and town in the country, but in one village in Andhra Pradesh, people have voluntarily imposed a lockdown. The reason behind this is not corona, but vampires, who eat the flesh of humans. Due to the fear of this vampire, people are not coming out of their houses and are hanging lemon pepper outside their houses. Residents of Vennelavalas village in Sarbujjili Mandal of Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh say that these vampires are sitting in an ambush in the village. Due to this fear, the villagers themselves have imposed a complete lockdown.
The people of this village are imprisoned in their homes. Even government offices were locked. At the same time, outsiders were prevented from entering the village. In fact, within the last month, four villagers have died mysteriously. People here say that vampires are responsible for these deaths. The villagers have erected a fence to prevent outsiders from entering the village. Schools and Anganwadi centres in the village were also closed. Government employees, medical staff and teachers were also barred from entering the village.
This village is located near the border of Odisha. People here say that some people have been suffering from fever for the past few days, while four people have died. Evil spirits are sitting ambushed in the village, that is why these deaths have taken place. The elders of the village have also consulted the priests of Odisha and neighbouring Vizianagaram districts. At this, the priests suggested to the villagers to impose a lockdown and said that this would keep the evil spirits away. On the advice of the priests, people installed lemons in all four directions of the village and imposed a lockdown from April 17 to 25.
