Hollywood movie producer and musician Andrew Lloyd Webber has banned the show of hit West End musical 'Cinderella' by February 2022 citing corona.  The case of new variant omicrons of coronavirus has been on the rise in the UK for the past few days. Webber tweeted on Tuesday, "Once again Covid is emerging as a crisis for the world, which has put a stop to the show of 'Cinderella.' My life has always been dedicated to music and theatre, we are about to make a new beginning again."

He has said, "This decision has been taken keeping in view the safety of our artists, musicians and backstage crew. This decision is also going to benefit our admirers. The world is once again in awe of the way the Coronavirus is constantly growing. It is spreading more in public places. Given the virus will stop spreading again, we are going to take the audience back to the world of music."

According to media reports, the screening of the show has been put on hold till February 9 by 'Promising Young Women' Oscar winner Emerald Fennel.  According to reports, 'Wendy and Peter Pan' at Leeds Playhouse, 'Major for Major' at Shakespeare Globe in London and 'Hex' show at the National Theatre in London have been stopped till early January. Similar shows have been banned across the country where there is a huge rush. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, the UK Government unveiled the existing Culture Recovery Fund set up to support theatres, orchestras and museums. The Society of London Theatre said in a statement that the UK government understands the challenges facing our theatres and other cultural businesses. They are going to cooperate fully with them.
