Romania: Andrew Tate, an Internet celebrity and former kickboxer, and his brother were detained by Romanian police on Thursday on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and organizing a criminal gang, according to reports.

Tate and his brother Tristan Tate, along with two other suspects from Romania, have been detained and will be held there for the next 24 hours, according to Reuters, which obtained confirmation from Romanian prosecutors.

Following the raid on Tate's and others' properties in Bucharest, prosecutors from the Anti-Organised Crime Unit issued a statement on the subject.

Prosecutors claimed that the four suspects "established an organized crime group with the intention of recruiting, housing and exploiting women, forcing them to produce pornographic material to be viewed on particular websites for a fee." " He "must have made significant financial gains."

Reuters said  the two brothers have been the subject of a criminal investigation since April.

According to the allegations made by the prosecution, six women have allegedly claimed to have been sexually assaulted by the suspects.

Tate claimed in an August interview with Fox's Tucker Carlson that Big Tech fired her because she had "a large portion of the population agreeing with very traditional masculine values".

"I lived a life that was typical of men. They considered it extremely dangerous, despite the fact that I had a beautiful girlfriend, a big house, fast cars and lots of money," Carlson heard from Tate.

And for some reason, they determined it would be better if they took me off the internet and replaced me with someone who was more in line with their intended message.

Tate has come under fire from the left for her support of traditional gender roles and has been accused of sexism.

Tate also got involved in a Twitter debate this week with environmentalist Greta Thunberg over claims she owned 33 vehicles with "huge emissions". Tate's response to Thunberg was to tell her to get a life.
