The Permission System, which appeared in Android many years ago, was designed to restrict those permissible that often occupy privileges that were not for them. Thanks to this, users were able to deny installed software access for their location, message and other information. However, the permissions mechanism was so incondensible that many users did not distribute all the permissions they requested. Then Google decided to refine it but made it worse.

The fifth beta version of Android Q revealed a bug that automatically changes the settings of the permission system and allows applications to access geolocation services in the background. Fortunately, due to the peculiarity of implementing the permission system in Android Q, users learned about unauthorized monitoring over time and were able to restrict it.

Apparently, the bug appeared as a result of the improvement work of Google's permission system in Android Q. This week it became known about a similar bug that appeared in the release version of Android. It allowed permissions to bypass the system, obtaining information about the user's actions - for example, its movements and correspondence with other users - through other applications that have access to this data. Google announced that it was aware of the problem, but promised to fix it only in Android Q.
