In the Indian market, Dish TV has launched two smart connected devices. These include an Android-based set-top box Dish SMRT Hub and another Alexa enabled Smart Dongle Dish SMRT Kit. With the help of both devices, users can avail the facility of TV content and video streaming without any hassle. According to media reports, the Dish SMRT Hub set-top box will be available for new subscribers at Rs 3,999, while it is priced at Rs 2,499 for the existing subscribers. At the same time, the Dish SMRT Kit is priced at Rs 1,199 and this device is available only to existing subscribers. Let us know that SMRT Kit can only work with DishNXT HD Box. While Dish SMRT Hub can be used in any TV with the help of HDMI or CVBS.
Features of Dish TV SMRT Hub: Dish TV SMRT Hub is an Android based setup box and works on Android Pie. This device supports Google Play Store and Google Assistant. With its help, users can enjoy apps like Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, Voot, ALTBalaji and YouTube. But Netflix support was not provided in it, which may disappoint some users. However, you will get built-in Chromecast support in this set-top box. You can connect it to any smartphone.
