USA: WhatsApp, a well-known messaging service, is developing a new feature for Android users. Soon, users of the Meta-owned platform will be able to send audio messages that can only be played once. More privacy will result from this. The facility is currently being developed and will be made available to beta testers soon.

Over two billion people use WhatsApp worldwide. The company is constantly developing new features in an effort to enhance the user experience and stay ahead of its competitors, like Telegram. We think WhatsApp's plan to introduce single-play audio messages is a step in the right direction because privacy is a very important issue.

The recipients of the audio messages won't be able to save, forward, or record them once the single-play option is turned on. As a result, the conversation will be more private because a third party won't be able to access or listen to it later. Although this is not a foolproof security measure, it can greatly manage the confidentiality of sensitive data.

Currently, WhatsApp allows the sending of single-view images and videos. The app, which is owned by Meta, also intends to implement a similar system for text messages.Currently, it is not possible to send audio messages that only play once. WhatsApp will, however, soon make the feature available for the Android beta with version ID 2.23.7.8. A more extensive rollout of the feature is yet to receive information.

Users of WhatsApp will soon be able to communicate with one another via video messages. This should not be confused with video media files because you cannot save or forward them like you can with those other types of files. However, it will be acceptable to take screenshots. The length of these messages will not exceed 60 seconds and they will be end-to-end encrypted.

A single-choice poll restriction is also available to a limited number of Android beta testers. This feature will clear up any ambiguity during polling and improve the accuracy of the results.
