New Delhi: Former world number one player Andy Murray has made his place in the finals of a tennis tournament for the first time in two and a half years. Murray, who underwent a hip operation in January, defeated Yugo Humbert of France 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 to enter the final of the European Open. Murray was successful in reaching the title of a tournament for the first time after 2017. In March 2017, he reached the final of Dubai Open. After the victory, he said that it is a surprise for him. They are very happy to reach the final.

In the title match, the 32-year-old British player will face three-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka. Murray's record against Wawrinka is 11-8. Wawrinka of Switzerland had previously beaten Italian teenager Janik Sinar 6-3, 6-2 and made it to the finals for the 30th time in her career.

Murray is currently ranked 243rd in the ranking. He has been running in a bad rhythm for a long time due to injury and once again he is trying to get his career back on track. The year 2016 was a golden time for Murray. This time he won the Wimbledon title and also became the Olympic champion for the second time. During this time he also became the number one tennis player in the world, but in 2017 he struggled with injury and lost the crown of number one as well.
