As we all know that Miami Open is going to play soon. For this Tournament, rumour was surrounded earlier that Andy Murray may not participate in this. But now in a official way it is confirmed that Britain’s former World No.1 Andy Murray has been allowed a wild card for the Miami Open this month. The ATP Masters 1000 tournament will be held from March 22 to April 4.

For your information let us share that Murray, won has been the title winner in 2009 and 2013, has not competed in Miami Open since 2016, undergoing hip surgeries in 2018 and 2019. The British star lost the 2015 final to Novak Djokovic and will finally mark his return to the tournament. Murray told People Magazine that  "It's a city I love, and I've spent a lot of time here over the last 15 years, I feel comfortable. But over the next few months, I want to play matches especially against the top players work on my game and climb the rankings. I want to get back playing a sport I love,”

However, here it is to be noted that Murray, who last played on the ATP Tour in Rotterdam, missed the Dubai Championships as his wife Kim gave birth to their fourth child last week. Besides Murray, another British tennis player Jack Draper has been granted a wild card for the Miami Open. Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, America’s Michael Mmoh, France’s Hugo Gaston have also received wild cards into the tournament. The 3-time Grand Slam champion was unable to fly to the Australian Open after testing positive for COVID-19 this year.
