Villagers outraged by killing of elderly pelted stones at police post in Mathura

Mathura: The villagers outraged by the killing of the elderly in the city's Radhakund were agitated. The villagers vandalized the police post on Monday night. They also pelted stones. The policemen escaped after seeing the angry mob. The body of an elderly man was found lying in the field in Govardhan police station area in the evening. Somebody killed him. The killers also took out his eyes. Police sent the body to the district hospital for post mortem.

According to information, the police identified the body as Hukam Singh (68) resident Kunjera. According to police, the body of the old man was found with a sharp weapon. The head, the eye, both knees were cut with a weapon.  Police were investigating the incident. Meanwhile, a mob of villagers cordoned off the Radhakund police post at around 10 pm. The villagers pelted stones and entered the checkpoint and started sabotage.

At the same time, the policemen present in the post somehow escaped. On the information, officers along with Govardhan police force reached. Then the villagers fled. Police said, action will be taken against the perpetrators.
