Leeds United Football Club chief executive Angus Cinier has said that failing to complete his season for the English Football League and being able to complete the European League would be a matter of shame for the country. Leeds are likely to win promotion to the Premier League and if they do, they will be able to end their 16-year title drought. Keunier told the Yorkshire Evening Post, "There were some of the best sports scientists and football administrators of the game in England. Now the time has come for us to face the challenges that we face as a sport and start arriving at solutions."

He said, "If the Bundesliga, La Liga or Serie-A leagues are completed safely and if the first and fifth biggest leagues in the world are not able to finish their season then it is a shame for the country. " German club Bundesliga has already started its league without spectators while La Liga and Serie-A league have started training. The Premier League has also started its training from this week.

Leeds United's team is currently at the top of the table and if the season is not completed then the teams will be promoted in the final on the basis of points. Keunier, however, said that he wanted the season to be completed. He said, "Our desire has always been to complete the season. From where we started it, we can complete it from there."
