Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has been remanded in judicial custody till November 19. Anil Deshmukh was in the custody of ED so far in a money laundering case. Today (November 6, Saturday), his custody of the Enforcement Directorate was coming to an end. So, the Enforcement Directorate produced him before the PMLA court. The court extended Anil Deshmukh's custody for another 13 days.

Before being produced for a hearing in the court, Anil Deshmukh was taken to JJ Hospital for a medical check-up in Mumbai. The hearing of the case related to Anil Deshmukh started at 12.30 pm. Anil Deshmukh had appeared in the Enforcement Directorate office on Monday. He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate after 12 hours of interrogation. Thereafter, a special court in Mumbai sent him to the Enforcement Directorate's custody till November 6.

The same Enforcement Directorate then summoned Anil Deshmukh's son Hrishikesh Deshmukh on Friday (November 5) ordering him to appear for questioning. Hrishikesh did not appear. He today approached the sessions court for bail before his arrest. He will come up for a hearing on November 12. Meanwhile, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, who accused Anil Deshmukh of recovering Rs 100 crore, has sent an affidavit to the Chandiwal Commission investigating the case.
