This incident has put him in legal trouble, as he faced arrest on charges of obtaining and selling snake venom. He faced legal action under the Wildlife Protection Act, IPC for criminal conspiracy, and negligent conduct related to poison endangering human safety. Animal rights activists had filed a police report against Yadav after recording a viral video showing him allegedly using snakes, an act prohibited under the Wildlife Protection Act. The activists, including Saurabh Gupta and Gaurav Gupta, sought police protection against Yadav and his associates, fearing retaliation for their involvement in the case. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has now instructed the police to ensure the safety of the activists whenever they need to attend court in Gurugram. Justice Jasjit Singh Bedi ordered the Commissioner of Police in Gurgaon to provide adequate security to the activists, and any threats should be addressed in the appropriate court in Uttar Pradesh.
