In the few weeks since the premiere of the new season, Bigg Boss 16 has grown to rank among the most popular television programmes. When Gautam Singh Vig won the previous captaincy task, he was named the head of the house. At this point, contestants are vying to become the new captain of the house and can be seen battling it out.

One of the contenders is Priyanka Choudhary, and Bigg Boss asks the other contestants to put obstacles in her path so she can win the task. Ankit works to assist Priyanka so that she can triumph as Archana pours water on her to block her.

Tina attempted to put obstacles in Priyanka's task, which led to an ugly spat between Ankit and Tina during the task. Due to their aggression, the two were about to get into a physical altercation when other contestants stepped in to break it up. As Shalin intervened and warned Ankit not to touch Tina, things deteriorated further. Additionally, he told him that he was pleading with him not to touch her one more time and complicate matters for everyone. Ankit made it clear to him that he wasn't touching her in any way but demanded an explanation for what she had done.

Another competitor in the game, Gori Nagori was seen dealing with a number of challenges. During the captaincy task, she was trying to grab a bucket of water to throw on Priyanka when she was horribly injured. Ankit tries to apologise to Gori for the way she looked while she was sobbing uncontrollably. Everyone in the home tried to soothe Gori. She cried on, refusing to accept what was happening.
