Anna Hazare on Sunday met the students protesting against the paper leak of the combined graduate level exam. The students are aspirants of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examination. The protests are being carried out at SSC office at Lodhi Road, Delhi.

Anna Hazare requested the protesting students to protest non-violently. He also requested the government to probe the matter take stringent action against the culprits. He claimed that the path of non-violence ‘strengthens democracy’.

“While opposing injustice and harassment, it is extremely important to walk on the path of non-violence. This strengthens the democracy,” said Hazare. Further, he told the protesting students to wait for the government to take action into the matter and urged them to not choose the path of violence during protesting.

The protest started after SSC released a notification rescheduling the exam from February 21 to March 09 citing ‘technical problem’ as the reason for the same. However, SSC aspirants alleged that the question paper has been leaked on social media and staged protests from February 27. The aspirants have been demanding a CBI probe into the ‘mass leak’ of the question paper.

Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari also met the protesters on Saturday and assured them that he will bring up the matter before the concerned ministry.
