LOS ANGELES : Actress Anne Heche was reportedly under the influence of cocaine and possibly fentanyl instead of alcohol at the time of the accident.

According to aceshowbiz.com, Los Angeles Police Department sources told TMZ that the 53-year-blood old's test results for both narcotics came back positive. However, source says that fentanyl was given to her at the hospital to relieve her discomfort.

Thus, more testing is required to ascertain whether she was under the influence of fentanyl when she crashed her blue Mini Cooper into a Mar Vista residence last Friday. The house caught fire, and the Emmy-winning actress suffered burns as a result of the tragedy. She was then hospitalised and intubated.

"The vehicle  was heading east on Preston Way at a high rate of speed when it entered the T junction at Preston Way and Walgrove Ave, veered off the road, and crashed with the residence in the 1700 block of Walgrove," a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

"The vehicle became engulfed in flames, and the driver was taken to a nearby hospital by LAFD." A spokeswoman for Heche's status claimed: "Over the weekend, a representative stated that Anne was in stable condition, however this was false. She has always been in severe condition, having fallen into a coma after the accident." "At the moment, she is in critical condition. She has a major lung injury that necessitates mechanical ventilation, as well as burns that necessitate surgical surgery "The spokeswoman said. "She is being treated at the Grossman Burn Center right now."
