The months of September, October and November are tourist seasons in Uttarakhand. Tourists turn to the mountains in the big figures this season. Tourists go for trekking at 3 places in Bageshwar district, Sundardhanga, Kafani and Pindari Glacier, which is conducted from 15th September to 15th November.

On the other hand, the Air Force has launched a massive rescue operation at an altitude of 17,000 feet in Lamkhaga Pass in the state, where 17 trekkers, including tourists, porters and guides, were diverted due to heavy snowfall and bad weather on October 18.
