New Delhi: Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested Farid from West Bengal. Let us inform that Farid is accused of attacking the procession taken out on Hanuman's birth anniversary in Jahangirpuri. He is also accused of firing the first shot at a Hindu procession. He was arrested on 28 April 2022 (Thursday). There are already six criminal cases registered against him like theft, dacoity.

According to reports, the police found the location of 34-year-old Farid in Tamluk in East Medinipur district of West Bengal. This is where he was caught. Tamluk Police Officer Arup Sarkar told that Farid was hiding at his aunt's house. According to him, Farid's family no longer lives in Bengal. He originally belongs to the Mahisdal area. After going from here 34 years ago, his family had settled in Delhi. Delhi Police will present him in the court today (April 29, 2022).

Let us inform that some videos of Jahangirpuri violence became quite viral on social media. Farid was also seen in them. After checking the CCTV footage, the police also found him firing. The police are treating Farid as one of the main conspirators of the riots. He is also accused of inciting people to pelt stones. He had run away from his house after the violence. Since then the Special Cell and Crime Branch of Delhi Police were on the lookout for him. According to the information, Farid is active in the crime world since 2010. In the police records, he is being told as the history sheeter of Jahangirpuri area.
