Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court has rejected the anticipatory bail application of Atiq Ahmed's son Ali alias Ali Ahmed in the case of demanding extortion of five crores and murder. Justice Mohammad Aslam gave this order after hearing the arguments of senior advocates Dayashankar Mishra and Anil Tiwari, Additional Advocate General Manish Goel, Additional Government Advocate Ashutosh Kumar Sand and State Law Officer Abhijit Mukherjee on Ali's anticipatory bail application.

On behalf of the state government, it has been told in the court that Ali is absconding. He was earlier announced a reward of Rs 25,000. Later, the IG Zone has increased the prize money to Rs 50,000. It has been said that Ali has serious charges of demanding extortion of five crores, committing murderous assaults etc. He is on the run continuously and is not cooperating in the investigation, so his anticipatory bail application should be rejected.

According to the application, in the case filed by Mohammad Zeeshan in Kareli police station in December 2021, it is alleged that Ali came along with his associates on December 31, 2021 and asked Atiq Ahmed to talk to Atiq Ahmed on mobile after holding a pistol on the temple. On Zeeshan's refusal, Ateeq asked for an extortion of five crores over the phone and asked to transfer the property located at Ainuddinpur in the name of his wife. Along with this, he threatened to kill him if he did not give. On Zeeshan's refusal, Ali and the people accompanying him severely beat Zeeshan and his relatives with pistol, rifle and gun butts.
