Samastipur: In a shocking incident, a man in Bihar's Samastipur district found it problematic to reach his girlfriend's house at night and meet her. The people of the village caught the lover red-handed expressing love with his girlfriend. When the family members created a ruckus, the panchayat was called. The panchayat ordered the marriage of both of them. Against the wishes of the lover, he was taken to the village temple with his girlfriend.

All the wedding rituals were performed in front of the people of the village. The incident took place in Dekari village of Jahangirpur panchayat under the Khanpur police station area of the Samastipur Sadar subdivision. The couple tied the knot at the Radhe Krishna temple complex amid the chanting of mantras by pandits. According to the news received, the people of the village saw the lover man with the girl at around 3:00 am on the night of December 5. A crowd of people from the village gathered after the noise of the family members. The villagers caught hold of the boy. On Tuesday afternoon, December 6, the panchayat representatives announced the decision of the marriage of both of them in the panchayat. The arrested boy was identified as Ramesh Mahto, a resident of Dekari Ward 5 of Jahangirpur panchayat. A video of the incident is also going viral.

In the video, the man confesses his mistake and says, "I had an illicit relationship with the girl but I am not satisfied with this marriage. This marriage is against my wishes.'' He further said, ''It is my wish whether I keep the girl with me or leave her. I do not accept this marriage.''
