Another gang for black marketing of Remdesivir injection busted from Panjagutta

On Saturday, one more gang busted for black marketing of Remdesivir. Let us share that the Hyderabad Task Force nabbed seven persons from Punjagutta, Banjara Hills and SR Nagar on charges of black marketing Remdesivir injections here. Police seized 32 Remdesivir vials from them.

Here it is to be noted that the arrested persons were S Damodar (30), Covid essential material supply agent from SR Nagar, P Ramalingesh (33), a marketing agent from Ameerpet. Police recovered 17 Remdesivir vials from them. At Banjara Hills, B Girish Kumar (29), an endoscopy technician at a private hospital and a resident of Raidurgam, was arrested and six Remdesivir vials were seized. At Punjagutta, Gouri Shankar (60), a medical shop owner from Kukatpally, Harish Kumar (30), Mukunda Rao (32), from Moti Nagar and A Chinna (19), a healthcare employee were arrested and six Remdesivir vials were seized. One suspect, Dr.Ganga Raju, a doctor at a private hospital is absconding. Three vials were seized from his associates.

While police said that “All the suspects are related to medical services like medical businesses or medical representatives. They used their credentials to target gullible people who need Remdesivir injections for their family members undergoing Covid treatment. They were selling each vial at prices ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000,”, adding that following a tipoff, Task Force teams simultaneously raided various places and nabbed the suspects.
