Another massive fire broke out at High rise building at Delhi

NEW DELHI: A fire broke out on the fifth floor of Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan at CGO Complex in the national capital on Wednesday morning. Twenty-eight fire tenders have been rushed to the spot and rescue operations are currently underway. The 11-storeyed Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan was previously known as the Paryavaran Bhawan. Many central government offices, including a branch of the Indian Air Force, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Social Justice Empowerment and Disability, and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change operate out of the building. One person has been injured and he has been moved to a local hospital. An eye witness told that "There was a fire inside an AC unit vent. We made a call, but the fire tenders took time to reach the venue,". A further update from the fire department is expected shortly.

As per emerging reports, According to news agency PTI, the Fire Department received a call at about 8.34 am, following which 25 fire tenders were rushed to the site. New injury or loss of life has been reported so far. The fire reportedly originated at the office of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan, at CGO Complex the blaze started from the office of Social Justice Empowerment ministry at around 8:30 am and soon spread across the building. High rise cranes are aiding the firefighting operations.

No reports of casualties or injuries have emerged yet. This comes days after the Karol Bagh hotel fire that claimed the lives of 17 people.
