Tata Motors continues to dominate the fast-growing electric vehicle market in India since its inception. The company is number one in terms of selling electric vehicles and has taken over more than half of the market share of Nexon EV  alone. The company added another addition to its record tally last week. Tata Motors set a record of delivering 712 electric vehicles in just one day.

Record for the highest number of EV deliveries in a single day: Tata Motors said in a statement that on Saturday last week, they have delivered 712 electric vehicles to individual customers of Maharashtra and Goa. Of these, 564 have been Nexon EV and 148 Tigor EV. The company has said that this is the record for delivering the most four-wheeler electric vehicles to individual customers in a day. A senior official of the company has also said this record about a spectacular achievement.

Vivek Srivats, Head of Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, continued, "The record of delivering 712 electric vehicles a day to customers in Maharashtra and Goa is an achievement that has made us all very happy. This not only shows how Tata Motors' electric vehicles have made a place in the personal mobility space, but it has also shown the trust and value of the customers in us," he said, adding that Tata Motors is constantly engaged in making people in the country aware of adopting electric vehicles.

Tata Motors alone has this share:  Tata Motors alone currently holds 87 per cent stake in the Indian electric vehicle market. The company has sold more than 21,500 electric vehicles from April 2021 to February 2022. The company has set up its EV ecosystem Tata uniEVerse to promote electric vehicles in the country. At present, Tata Motors is working with other group companies like Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance, Croma, etc. to increase EV adoption.
