New Delhi: Former National Capital Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash has filed a review petition against the acquittal of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and 9 other Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders in the alleged 2018 assault case.

The court issued notices to all the accused including CM Arvind Kejriwal, deputy CM Manish Sisodia and sought their response to the petition. The matter will now come up for further hearing in The Rouz Avenue Court on November 23 on the response to the notice. In the case of assault on former Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, in August this year, the Rouse Avenue Court acquitted all 9 MLAs, including CM Arvind Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia, while framing charges against two AAP MLAs.

The case dates to February 2018, when the then chief secretary Anshu Prakash alleged that CM Kejriwal had called him at midnight. He was then assaulted by the CM, deputy CM and 11 other MLAs. The matter had also reached the High Court and the Supreme Court.
