New Delhi: In a link to continuous missile tests, India achieved another breakthrough by completing the third-generation final trial of the anti-tank guided missile 'Nag' in Pokhran on Thursday morning with a warhead. India has successfully test-fired more than half a dozen similar indigenous missiles in different ways in about a month.
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) test-fired this indigenous missile at Pokhran at 06.45 am today. This anti-tank missile can destroy other military vehicles, including enemy tanks, in just a few seconds. Earlier also, tests of 'Nag' missiles of different ways have been conducted in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Every time something new has been updated in this missile. The fully desi 'Nag' missile is of very light, medium and small range in weight which works with many other resources including a fighter jet, warship. Today, the third generation of the Nag missile with a warhead has been tested.
It has the ability to aim at a surefire target and can destroy the enemy tank. This modern missile can target large tanks in any season. With many features, it also has infrared that locks the target before launch. Then 'Nag' suddenly rises up and then fast turns on the angle of the target and looks at it.
