Mumbai: Maharashtra is at the top of the states most affected by Corona. The shocking revelation done through sero surveillance in Mumbai. In sero surveillance research, it has been reported that 57% of the slum population of three local wards of Mumbai developed antibodies, whereas 16% of the population in the city has developed antibodies.

Sero surveillance began on 3 June, and 6,936 samples were collected from 8,870 in a slum and non-slum areas of three civilian wards. Mumbai Municipal Corporation says that with the help of this data, more information can be gathered about herd immunity. Further, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation says that another survey will be conducted on behalf of the administration, which will provide information about the corona infection, and will throw light on herd immunity. Sero Surveillance for SARS-Cove 2 is a share commission consisting of Neet Commission, Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
