Geneva: The World Health Organization has recently said, 'Not as dangerous as the coronavirus, but we stand on the cusp of another grave problem like that'. Recently the WHO has warned people, 'If we do not care, a century of hard work in the medical world will be wasted'. Simultaneously, the WHO has also raised concerns about the increasing antimicrobial resistance. Antimicrobial resistance is a condition when the effect of a drug made for an infection or wound is reduced.

It can also be said directly that the bacteria responsible for infection or wound strengthen their immunity to that medicine. Recently the WHO stated, 'Increasing antimicrobial resistance is as dangerous as the Covid-19 epidemic. He said that this could end a century of medical development. WHO Director-General Tredos Adhanom Ghebresus said, 'Antimicrobial resistance occurs when the bacteria that spread the disease become immune to existing drugs, including antibiotic, antiviral or antifungal treatment, which can also treat minor injuries and common infections. It can turn into a deadly form. He said all these things in a press conference.

He further said, 'Antimicrobial resistance is endangering food security, economic development and the ability to fight against diseases.' The United Nations Health Agency said, "Due to the increase in the cost of health care, more influx of people in hospitals, decrease in treatment, serious diseases and deaths."
