One of the most awaited films, the third installment of Ant-Man and The Wasp has already hit the screen. The film hit the theatre screen on February 17. Fans are eagerly waiting for Paul Rudd to reprise his role as Ant-Man and for Evangeline Lilly to grace the screens as Hope Van Dyne. Ant Man’s advance booking break the record of Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada.
Taran Adarsh a Trade Analyst shared on his Twitter mentioned that the it has done biggest sales in the over 77,000 tickets sold came from PVR national chains. The Indian multiplex chain sold 41,000 tickets for the first day of the show. Next on the list was INOX. The entertainment company was able to generate an advance booking sale of 22,800 for the first day of Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania. Finally, Cinepolis sold 13,800 tickets for the Marvel film.
However the other release of the week, Shehzaada had managed to sell just 42,724 tickets across India, grossing Rs 1.32 crore. In comparison, last year’s Kartik’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 had grossed five times more – Rs 6.55 crore – in advance booking for day one. Meanwhile on the other hand, Tamil film Vaathi has also managed to outdo Shehzada in terms of advance booking. The action drama stars Dhanush and has managed Rs 1.5 crore in advance bookings by 10 pm on Thursday night and is looking at a strong opening.
Ant-Man and The Wasp film marks the beginning of Phase 5 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The family is all set to take the fans on a thrilling journey as they venture into the mysterious Quantum Realm.
