TV's famous actress Rupali Ganguly and Bollywood famous actor Akshay Kumar will soon be seen together on Star Plus. Actress Rupali Ganguly, who played the lead role in the television serial 'Anupamaa', also appears in 'Sunday with Star Parivaar' and the popularity of her show has become such that stars often come on the stage of 'Sunday with Star Family' to promote their films. Akshay Kumar came on the show to promote his upcoming film 'Raksha Bandhan' where TV's Anupama i.e. actress Rupali Ganguly tied rakhi to Akshay Kumar. Let me tell you that Rupali Ganguly and Akshay Kumar have known each other for a long time and but due to their busy schedules, they are rarely able to meet each other. However, 'Sunday with Star Parivaar' gave them the opportunity to meet once again and celebrate Raksha Bandhan together.

On the show, Rupali Ganguly said about her first meeting with Akshay Kumar, "Akshay Kumar is a part of the family for us. My father signed him during his early days and thus we knew him. When we met him we were very attracted to see his nature. I remember my father saying that this person is made for stardom.'' Rupali Ganguly praised Akshay Kumar and said, "Akshay is punctual, hardworking and a very simple person. When we used to go out for papa's film, I remember Akshay used to wake up at 4 am and exercise. My father was very proud of him and he used to be very happy to see him. Because of my father, Akshay became very close to me and I started tying 'Rakhi' to him.
