Lucknow: In elections, family members often go against each other, and sometimes even leave the field for the family. Something similar has also been seen in the assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh. Anupriya Patel's Apna Dal (Sonelal) has withdrawn its candidate from Pratapgarh seat. He got this seat after contesting the elections with the BJP alliance.

Anupriya Patel has taken this step after getting information about her mother Krishna Patel contesting from the SP alliance in Pratapgarh Sadar seat. He has returned this seat to the BJP. Let us inform that in the 2017 elections, Sangam Lal of Apna Dal (S) was elected from this seat. After this, he also won in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2019. After that this seat became vacant. After Sangam Lal, Rajkumar Pal of Apna Dal was elected from this seat. The party was going to make him its candidate again.

Both Anupriya Patel's Apna Dal (Sonelal) and her mother's party Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) are contesting the UP elections. On one hand Anupriya Patel decided to contest the elections in alliance with BJP, while Krishna Patel is contesting with Akhilesh Yadav's SP on seat-sharing formula. Anupriya Patel has taken this step after getting information about her mother Krishna Patel contesting from the SP alliance in Pratapgarh Sadar seat. He has returned this seat to the BJP.
