Expressing concern over the increasing mob lynching incidents in the country, 49 eminent personalities from different regions wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The letters also went viral on social media, including one of them, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap. However, after sharing this letter, Anurag got into another controversy. He has also been threatened with death, the case has recently come to light.

In fact, a Twitter user threatened to kill Anurag Kashyap when he shared the letter. In this threat, the user wrote that he had recently cleaned his rifle and shotgun and was waiting to meet Anurag face-to-face. Seeing such a tweet, Anurag forwarded the tweet directly to the Mumbai Police and the Mumbai Police responded immediately after taking cognisance of it.
