New Delhi: The farmers' agitation against the three new agricultural laws brought by the central government continues for the 78th day today, but no solution has been reached even after the 11th round of talks between the government and farmers' organizations on the issue. The Mahapanchayat has been organized by the farmers in Saharanpur today. BJP union minister Anurag Thakur has raised questions over the involvement of Congress party's national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi in the panchayat.

Anurag Thakur said, "Farmers' organizations should think on what basis they are giving political parties a place on the podium.'' He said that till yesterday, the organization used to say that political parties are far away from this agitation. He questioned how the organization could finally respond to how a political party person could come to his podium. Referring to the opposition to the new laws, he said, "not a single parliamentarian could tell in the house that the agricultural laws would harm the farmers. The farmers are urged not to be confused with their words. The farmers need to understand how this change came when it was said that their platform was not for political parties.''

Priyanka Gandhi is going to address the Mahapanchayat of farmers held at JJ Inter College, Chilkana, Saharanpur today. After the Mahapanchayat, Priyanka Gandhi will visit Behat Road in Saharanpur to mourn the family of former union minister lateQazi Rasheed Masood.
