Shimla: On the occasion of International Women's Day, Union Minister Anurag Thakur is going to provide security cover to women on Tuesday. He will attend a program organized in Himachal Pradesh's Government Senior Secondary School, Hamirpur as the chief guest. Where with his efforts, Hero MotoCorp will launch 108 bikes for police patrolling. The police band will perform in the program and women policemen will perform stunts on motorcycles.

Along with the launch of Mahila Suraksha Kavach, these bikes are being given to Himachal Pradesh Police to ensure the safety of women during patrolling. Hero MotoCorp is supporting this initiative under Corporate Social Responsibility. A tweet has also been made by the office of Union Minister Anurag Thakur regarding this program. The tweet said, 'On the occasion of International Women's Day, 108 bikes were launched by Hero MotoCorp for police patrolling by Union Minister Anurag Thakur, 'Mahila Suraksha Kavach'. Let us tell you that the Government of India is also organizing many other programs related to women on this special occasion. The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Education and UNISEF will launch a campaign named 'Kanya Shiksha Pravesh Utsav' to teach formal education and skills to girls.
