Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has wished Bakrid. He has already wished the Muslim brothers before Bakrid. Bakrid is considered a day of sacrifice. Now, referring to Bakrid as a symbol of sacrifice, devotion and faith, the CM said that "Greeting to my Muslim brothers & sisters on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. May this auspicious day further the spirit of compassion, devotion & faith amongst all of us".


He wished all the people of the state to pray to Allah. Besides him, Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan wished Bakrid to the people of the Muslim community. He said "On the occasion of Bakrid (Eid-ul-Azha), heartfelt greetings to all the Muslim brothers of Andhra Pradesh."

"Bakrid is considered very holy and very important day in Islam. Muslim community celebrate this festival with great devotion and reverence. Bakrid arouses sacrifices and full devotion to Allah and a feeling of compassion towards the poor. The festival of Bakrid is going to be celebrated on August 1 this year".
