New Delhi: New Zealand spinner Ejaz Patel (Ajaz Patel)'s feat against Team India in the Mumbai Test will continue to reverberate at the Wankhede Stadium (Wankhede Stadium) for the next several years. The spinner did what no one would have imagined at the Wankhede Stadium. Ejaz Patel himself would never have thought of it. Ejaz Patel, 33, has achieved a special milestone in the 144-year history of Test cricket by picking up all 10 wickets in the first innings of the second Test against India.

With this, Ejaz Patel equaled England's Jim Laker and Team India's legendary spinner Anil Kumble. Both these veterans also took 10 wickets in an innings.  But did you know that apart from Jim Laker, Anil Kumble and Ejaz, another Indian has taken 10 wickets in an innings? The last time 10 wickets were taken in first-class cricket was in the Duleep Trophy in 2001 before Ejaz Patel's surprise feat at Wankhede.

Former India pacer Debashish Mohanty performed this feat at that time. Mohanty took all 10 wickets in the first innings of the match between East Zone and South Zone at Agartala. In that match, Mohanty also picked up the wickets of Rahul Dravid and Javagal Srinath, who were playing for South Zone.
