Guwahati: Final list of NRC was released on 31 August in Assam. Politics started only after this list was released. On this issue, Pakistan PM Imran Khan targeted the Indian government. Chief of AIMIM and MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi also targeted the government over the issue. Now the top body of 21 Muslim organizations in Assam has given a befitting reply to the statement of these leaders.
The organization said that Imran has no right to interfere in this matter and Owaisi should also stop spreading confusion. Muslims in the state have been living peacefully with Hindus for decades. The president of the organization Sayed Mominul Awal told Imran that he does not have the right to speak on this issue, so he should keep his mouth shut. Also, Hyderabad MP has asked Owaisi not to provoke the people of Assam with misleading information about NRC.
Awal has also urged the media and people living outside the state not to spread speculation and rumors on NRC. He says that we have full faith in the government and there is an atmosphere of peace in the state. The Pak PM said on Saturday that the 'wipeout of Muslims' by the Modi government should be a matter of concern for the whole world. At the same time, Owaisi had said that the NRC publication has exposed the myth of illegal migrants. Here, the Ministry of External Affairs has also appealed not to be disturbed due to lack of place in the list.
