‘Makar Sankranti’ better known as Kite Festival, is a festival that marks the shift of the sun into the zodiacal sign of Makara. Every Year, on 14 January this solar event occurs.

1# Take Sesame seeds(around 500 grams)in a pan and on a medium flame roast it for 4-5 min.
2# Now, take one more pan and put the amount of jaggery( mentioned above)in it.
3# Add water and let the mixture cook on a medium flame.When it starts bubbling to make a syrup. Keep on stirring it. You can also add one tablespoon of desi ghee to the syrup.
4# Now it is time to mix the roasted sesame seeds into the syrup to form the preparation mixture of laddoo.
5# Lastly, wet your hand with water before picking up the mixture, it will be helpful to avoid stickiness of jaggery. And start giving the circular shape.
