Apple store will be upraising its price of applications and app purchases from app store. As per the latest news, Appstore will charge Rs. 80 for 1$ purchases. Earlier, this was kept up to Rs. 60 per $. If we go on its calculations,there is 33% increment at one hike.

Apple stated the statement explaining their sudden step, " Price tiers on the App stores are set internationally on the basis of several factors, including currency exchange rates, business practices, taxes and the cost of doing business. These factors vary from region to region and over a time."

The price increment in Appstore was first confirmed by Apple in email and then they stated to developers to show the 'price raised' messages on the home page of Appstore.
