Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, several times discuss his concern for future technology of augmented reality (AR). He said the scope of AR is much more than virtual reality (VR). Currently, all companies are focusing more on virtual reality devices and ecosystem. There are several devices like VR headsets are in the market.  But at the same time, Apple is more focused about the AR researchers.

These researchers help Apple to take the lead over the other companies of 3 to 5 years. And the company could also use this AR leverage to in its rumoured own autonomous driving system that it is said to be pursuing instead of developing its own car.

"All of Apple's past successes were related to human-machine interfaces, such as the mouse for Mac, click wheel for iPod, and multi-touch for iPhone and iPad. Assuming Apple successfully develops AR, we predict the firm will enjoy the following competitive advantages: (1) redefining existing key products and leading competitors by three to five years. For instance, this could happen for iPhone, iPad and Mac; (2) eliminating obstacles of Apple Watch and Apple TV by offering an innovative user experience; and (3) entering new business fields, such as autonomous driving system," Kuo explains in his note.

Kuo also believes in the concept of Tim Cook, the concept of augmented reality over virtual reality. Kuo said in an event that, AR is the more vast company than VR and Apple is already ahead of other companies. And this lead will attract more revenue in future for Apple.

If you too believe in the technology of AR and in believe of Tim Cook, soon Apple going to offer the same.
