Apple's next iPhone series will have significant camera upgrades. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 14 Pro versions would include a 48-megapixel camera that will allow 8K video recording, up from 4K in current models. Apple's rumoured AR/VR headset, scheduled to come in 2022, would benefit from the 8K video recording. Previously, the same expert stated that pixel binning technology might allow the iPhone 14 Pro versions to provide 48-megapixel and 12-megapixel output.

Kuo also stated that the iPhone 15 series would finally have included a periscope lens. It's unclear whether the camera will be available on all phones in the series, but at least one iPhone 15 model is expected to include it. Periscope lenses have grown fairly popular among luxury Android phones since they provide increased optical zoom while being small enough for smartphones. "[Periscope] lens would feature folded camera optics, where light absorbed by the image sensor is bent or 'folded.

Apple iPhones have long been considered as having one of the best camera phone experiences. The latest iPhone 13 Pro models, for example, include a 'cinematic mode,' which attempts to recreate the "rack focus" technique. It essentially allows users to easily switch their concentration from one subject to another. In other Apple news, the corporation is rumoured to be planning to begin manufacturing the Apple iPhone 13 in India. By February 2022, it aims to begin commercial manufacturing of the regular iPhone 13 model in the nation for both the domestic and export markets.
