The National Institute of Technology (NIT)-Delhi has released the notification to apply for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme offered in various disciplined for the commencing session August 2016.

Departments: Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Educational qualification:

Ph.D in Engineering Programme: candidates should have a Bachelor and Master degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in the relevant area of research with a first class grade point at Bachelor's or Master's level.

Ph.D in Sciences, Humanities, and Management Programme: candidates should have the Master's degree in appropriate branch of science/humanities/social sciences/management or equivalent with a first class grade point.

Also, the candidate needs to have a valid Graduate Apptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score or National Eligibility Test (NET) certificate.

The candidates need to pay Rs 1000 for each application form while the SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs 500.

Important dates:

The last date to apply is July 1.

List of the short listed candidates will be announced on July 8.
