Under this, the consumers whose April bill was more than one hundred but less than 400 rupees, those consumers will have to deposit only half the amount in May-June and July if the bill amount is more than 400. In this way, eight lakh consumers of the state are getting the relief of about 200 crores.

In fact, under the order issued by the Department of Energy, about one crore 11 lakh electricity consumers will be given relief of about Rs 1150 crore. Complaints were coming from everywhere that the electricity bills of the poor were increasing. Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey has directed the Managing Director of MP Power Management Company and the Managing Directors of the three power distribution companies to immediately ensure the implementation of the order issued in relation to the concessions.

According to this order, the recovery of permanent charge in the electricity bills of May and June 2020 has been postponed in April as well as in April and June 2020 of low-pressure non-domestic and low-pressure industrial consumers and high tariff HV-3 consumers. is. The deferred amount will be charged with regular payment of electricity dues from October 2020 to March 2021 without interest in six equal instalments.
