They have made some shocking claims, ranging from Shilpa saying her husband missed out on a show because of Bigg Boss to Apurva saying the program was "scripted" and that some of his friends had been unhappy after it.

Apurva asked Shilpa in the video if Bigg Boss is scripted or not. Shilpa said, "Bigg Boss is not scripted but everyone is aware and knows that if I want to be the ‘THE’ person then what is needed to be done. They have prerequisites – react karo, content do, fight, give your point of view, be assertive. If the personality is not like that, then what to do.” He also said that 'cricket matches are also scripted these days'.

Apurva was not convinced with the reply of Shilpa. Likewise, while discussing this, the actor stated that during the most recent season, the viewers witnessed how the channel face (Priyanka) was eliminated and MC Stan was declared the winner. She also stated that Season 7 champion Gauhar Khan deserved the title. Apurva quickly added that he would have rather that Kushal Tandon, who he considers to be like family, had won the season.
