Armenia bought the Akash Air Defence System and 15 AAD Systems from BDL. The deal's value is estimated to be between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 6,000 crore.

According to reports, Bharat Dynamics (BDL) sealed a big agreement with Armenia for 15 Akash Air Defence (AAD) systems with Radars. The deal's estimated worth is between Rs 5000-6000 crore. Additionally, there's news that Oman has shown interest in talks with BDL for the AAD system.

BDL has good potential to sell its products (missiles, torpedoes & counter measure systems) internationally. The AAD system displayed its unique ability to engage four aerial targets simultaneously within a range of 25 kilometers during recent trials.

This makes India the first country to possess such capability. The company's order backlog was Rs 20,766 crore as of September 2023 (9.6x TTM revenues). It has a robust order pipeline, both in domestic and export markets, indicating strong growth prospects. Bharat Electronics will also benefit as it supplies electronic systems like Rajendra PESA radar and other sub-systems.
