Srinagar: Newly appointed Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane said on Friday that around 250 Pakistani terrorists are stationed across the Line of Control (LoC) and are trying to infiltrate the Indian border every day. He also said that there are about 20 to 25 active terror launch pads across the Line of Control and is monitoring the situation in India.

According to news agency IANS, General Narwane said that Pakistan has again activated terrorist hideouts in Balakot. Regarding the Balakot air strike on 26 February 2019, Narwane said many, 'We have definitely achieved a lot. Terrorist bases were destroyed. He said that terrorist hideouts have become active there again. He also said that the terrorists keep changing their place and place of the launch pad.

General Narwane said, 'There is a perception that the terror camps are run through madrasas or some huge infrastructure. Terrorist hideouts are also being operated from small huts. These camps are also run from homes in villages. He said that according to intelligence estimates, around 200 to 250 terrorists are waiting across the Line of Control and are trying every day to infiltrate. The army chief also said that due to heavy snowfall in the valley, it has become difficult for Pakistani terrorists to infiltrate.
